Hi! Welcome to the history site.

I think I may be able to help you out - if I'm ever able to figure my new scanner out. I was able to buy some old Falls High Yearbooks from the 1960s on ebay, and as I was flipping through the advertising section there is a quarter-page ad featuring a couple of Falls High Students sharing a donut at the Rotunda Bake Shop.

It may take me a few days to get this to you ...

Speaking of ebay, you may want to try looking on that site for items related to the bakery. In addition to being able to search items that are listed on ebay, you can use another of their free services called "Want it Now," where you can post a short notice about the item you're looking for. Sellers scan that section of ebay frequently to see if someone is looking for an obscure item that they just happen to have. I've tried it when searching for items related to the High Bridge Glens, and sometimes it pans out.

Once the Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society has finished moving into their new site, you may want to visit their new museum on Cook Street. They have most of their things still packed away, but once they're up and running you'll find they are a fantastic resource. It they don't have specific items, I bet they've got great memories to share.

I will check out the new historical society.
Thank you again,

Hi - I finally figured out my new scanner and will be happy to e-mail copies of 2 ads for the Rotunda Bakery from 1960s vintage Falls High Yearbooks. Apparently students posed in sponsors' ads ... and most were pretty light hearted. I'll send these right now.

I hope these photos bring back happy memories for you.

Watch for 2 e-mails from an email address containing the word bluejay in it ....

Have a great weekend.
