Check it out - Movie about the Gorge

Hi all - As my online moniker suggests, I'm a big fan of the Glens Trail in the Gorge Metro Park, so I was both surprised and thrilled to recently find an online home movie about the park. Apparently a member of an Ohio hiking organization hiked the trail this past winter and videotaped the winter scenery (including the frozen Weeping Cliffs or Icicle Palace) as he hiked, adding commentary now and then. If you're a fan of the Gorge ... or moved away and would like to see the old place ... or if you just need to cool off from the heat, check out this link. On that page, you will find blue type directing you to the Gorge MetroPark Streaming Movie. The movie - which features the Glens and Gorge sides of the park - runs about an hour, but you can click on an arrow and speed up the film. Enjoy!http://hikingohioparks.com/the-gorge-hiking-ohio-parks.html

Wow, I just went to the link about the Gorge. As a kid I was down there with my girlfriend almost every day/night. Of course we weren't supposed to be there, but we were. That was back in the mid-60's. When did they put in the walkways? I walked everything between Front St. and the Highlevel bridge many, many, many times. I wonder if the tree with my initials is still there? My next visit I may just have to go check it out!
Does anyone remember Rockefellers Bakery on State Rd next to Bruno's Drive Thru? And of course, the Brown Derby Inn.
